School and Community Resources
The School of Innovation works in partnership with local organizations to expand our student's access to community resources in an equitable manner. We value community resources as they contribute to assisting our students to become strong and resilient individuals that will positively impact our community. Please take a look below for our list of partnerships as well as local resources for the Dover area.
Middle Schools Community Collaborations
Our goal is to provide an equitable, student-centered, comprehensive, seamless system of wraparound services for the whole-child during the most critical time for many students: middle grade years. The vision is to provide exploratory STEAM experiences to enhance student interest in career pathways and goal setting that will be in alignment with high school, college and beyond. We are a project-based school with culminating career-based activities connected to the greater community. By combining rigorous, engaging academic enrichment programs with prevention and social/emotional wellness, we address the needs of our school community and the Greater Dover Community.
We are pleased to have a strong community support system with organizations such as: Junior Achievement of Delaware (JA), Delaware State University, Delaware Multicultural & Civic Organization (DEMCO), Kent County Community Schools (KCCS), The Delaware Dance Conservatory, The Music School of Delaware, Dovre Police Athletic League (PAL), Polytech Adult Education, We Mean Business and STEM resources from the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT), and the Delaware Department of Natural Resources (DNREC).
These collaborations work to provide students with quality, real-world, learning experiences. Our school-based programs also support the whole family with workshops and information sessions for parents/guardians.
