Welcome to the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center at the Middle School of Excellence. This year will bring many exciting opportunities for our students.
The goals of the MSE SWAG (Students With Amazing Goals) afterschool enrichment program are to:
•Increase the academic achievement of participating students in one or more academic area
•Increase school connectedness of participants, including families, caregivers, and school teachers
•Increase the capacity of participants to become productive adults
The MSE SWAG program incorporates homework help, mentoring/tutoring, and academic enrichment. Students have the opportunity to participate in four eight-week sessions. Social and life skills are emphasized; providing an opportunity for students to engage positively with caring adults.
