On behalf of the entire school community, I extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to each and every one of you. As the Assistant Principal, I am excited and honored to be a part of this incredible educational journey alongside your children.
This is my 17th year in the Capital School District. I started my career in the Capital School District as a 5th grade teacher at William Henry Middle School. I later had the privilege of serving as an Instructional Coach in the same school. Prior to becoming the Assistant Principal, I was the District Secondary Literacy specialist for six years, supporting literacy across all content areas.
Family is of utmost importance to me. My husband is an educator, serving as an Instructional Coach at Kent County Secondary ILC. We are the proud parents of four amazing children, two of which are currently attending Delaware State University.
I believe that our school is not just a place of learning; it is a place of growth, exploration, and discovery. We are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where your child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Communication is a cornerstone of our approach, and we encourage an open and transparent dialogue with all families. Whether it's through regular newsletters, parent-teacher conferences, or various school events, we aim to keep you informed and involved every step of the way.
As we embark on this new academic year, let us embrace the opportunities and challenges together. Your support and active participation in your child's education make a significant difference. Together, we can inspire our students to reach their full potential and become lifelong learners.
I look forward to getting to know each of you and working hand in hand to make this school year a remarkable one. Should you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please do not hesitate to reach out. Let's make this year a memorable and enriching experience for all.
